The UFRJ Graduate Program in Music presents the eighteenth edition of its Research Colloquium.
The event will take place on December 25-29, 2019, from 9 am to 6 pm, at the UFRJ School of Music, Ventura Building (service below). Lectures, round tables, conversation wheel and communications will be presented, with the theme of the main fields of music research. The coordination is made by professors João Vicente Vidal, Pauxy Gentil-Nunes, Carlos Almada and Liduino Pitombeira.
The papers selected for the communications were evaluated by outstanding researchers in the areas of Musical Education, Ethnomusicology and Ethnography, History and documentation of Brazilian and Ibero-American Music, Composition, Musical Analysis, Musical Cognition, Sonology, Philosophy of Music and Performance Studies.
The basic purpose of the event is to foster critical dialogue, discussion and information exchange among the various areas of music research.
