The UFRJ Graduate Program in Music (PPGM-UFRJ) and the Professional Graduate Program in Music (PROMUS) announce the call for papers for the 17th edition of Harpsichord Week.
This year, in light of the pandemic requirements of the new coronavirus, the event will be held in virtual format, from October 5 to 9, with coordination by Marcelo Fagerlande and Mayra Pereira.
Registration for the presentation of oral communication and publication in the Proceedings of the event has the maximum deadline of September 25; for listeners, registration will be open until October 3rd.
Created in 2004 and since then coordinated by harpsichordist Marcelo Fagerlande, the Harpsichord Week, the only event of its kind in the country, will be held for the seventeenth consecutive year. The Week has brought together several generations of Brazilian instrumentalists, as well as international guests, including both recitals and round tables on various aspects involving the instrument (historical research, teaching, market insertion, preservation, among others).
In this edition, it will not be possible to hold recitals. Presentation sessions will be held for the works sent within this call.
