In the concert, songs by Chiquinha Gonzaga, Luisa Leonardo, Luciano Gallet, Francisco Braga, all original for voice and piano and with arrangements for Nicolas guitar.
In addition to the selection of 8 songs from the CD, will be presented the modern premiere of the modinha Estas Lágrimas Sentidas (That hurted tears), by Fr. José Maurício Nunes Garcia (result of musicological research by Prof. Alberto Pacheco), as well as the modern debut of Batendo a Linda Plumagem (Beating Beautiful Plumage), by Gabriel F. da Trindade, transcribed by Nicolas for cordophone and voice. These works have the accompaniment of the time of the Italian Bartolomeo Bortolazzi (1772-c. 1846). These are songs that are part of a collection of modinhas stored in a European archive and which remained unknown in Brazil.
