The Graduate Program in Music at UFRJ announces the issue of a new edition of the Revista Brasileira de Música (Brazilian Journal of Music). In its volume 33, No. 2, the thematic dossier Creative processes in collaborative musical performance – dynamics and perspectives is presented, having as guest editors Pedro Sousa Bittencourt, leader of the Performance Today Research Group and professor at PPGM-UFRJ and PROMUS-UFRJ, and Danilo Rossetti, professor at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT) and at the Graduate Program in Music at UNICAMP. Both researchers take part of MUSITEC, a a network that brings together research groups dedicated to music and technology from several Brazilian states.
The volume includes the sections Articles and Book Review, with contributions on various topics, and also, as one of its highlights, an Interview section, with an an exclusive and unpublished interview conducted by the guest editors of the volume with the French musicologist Nicolas Donin, attached to the Institut de Recherche et Coordination Acoustique/Musique (IRCAM) in Paris specialized in the history, aesthetics and creative processes of 20th and 21st century music.
